Silent in victory, vocal in defeat. Not that he really said all that much. So goes the enigma that is Rajon Rondo. Upon scoring a career-high 35 points against Detroit three days after equaling his career best against Chicago, Rondo simply said, "I made some, I missed some." For the record, he made 15 field goals and four free throws, missing 12 field goals and five free throws. On Sunday, Rondo became the fourth player in NBA history to record 32 points, 15 assists, 10 rebounds and two steals in a single game, joining Magic Johnson (thrice), LeBron James and Reggie Theus. Wednesday’s performance brought his totals for the last two games to 67 points, 21 assists, 15 rebounds and six steals. Rondo’s reaction? "The main thing is our record is 1-1 in these last two games," he said.
I feel better already.

'Didn't look "out of the flow" to me.
Most of his shots were excellent shot choices. He had a big post-up advantage that worked and Detroit kept giving him the wide-open jumper in order to take away passes to Ray and Paul. So he took those jumpers and made them.
A smart PG takes advantage of the looks the defense gives. Considering Rondo converted those shots at over 50%, that was smart basketball.
Detroit made the decision that since KG was not in the game they would take away Ray and Paul, letting Rondo try to run the offense with Wilcox, JO & JJ. The latter three played well but they aren’t Ray, Paul & KG. Nevertheless, from an offensive efficiency standpoint, Rondo did manage to score points on our possessions. Offensively we mainly came up short at the free throw line. Of course, that’s the one area where one could say we would have benefited from having Ray & Paul more involved because they made a combined 12 of 13 FTs while the rest of the team sucked at the line.
Larry Frank is a smart coach who knows our team pretty well. He new to take out Ray and Paul. He also knew that JO was only going to play about 20 minutes so he would have 28 minutes in the game where he could pound inside with Monroe and his other bigs.
It’s very telling that while JO was on the floor, we were +5. Without him, we were -15.
Ouch.
