Normally I wouldn't bother sharing highlight dunks with you (though maybe I should) but this one kind of grabs your attention. And it also involves an old friend so...

So forget about the Clippers beating the top two teams in the Western Conference (Oklahoma City and Denver) on back-to-back nights. Or their barrage of four 3-pointers in a 51-second span in the second quarter. Or Chris Paul's sublime 26-point, 14-assist night. It's what happened after Paul's pass to Griffin just more than three minutes into the third quarter that everyone will remember much longer than the 112-100 Clipper victory. The official play by play innocuously described it as "Griffin 3' Driving Slam Dunk (Paul)" at the 8:52 mark. It's kind of like classifying the Taj Majal as a "building."
Kendrick Perkins on Blake Griffin dunk: "It happens." | ProBasketballTalk
"It happens," Perkins said in the corner of the Thunder locker room. "A the end of the day if you’re a shot blocker, you’re going to get dunked on. It was a great play that he made. Obviously I wish I wasn’t in it, but it was a great play that he made."

Does anyone think Perkins will bounce back. I thought he would have started to play well by now. He just sort of seems like a non factor out there. His defense isn’t what it used to be and even his usual low numbers are even lower.

RIP Perk

Not a dunk
rickyfan3.0... - January 31, 2012
Enough with him already
He is very overrated. Shannon Brown is better.
And besides, no one will be ever match the old Vince Carter
relja111 - January 31, 2012
So your not impressed with this?
Little ticket - January 31, 2012
Perk without
a true pointguard will not score a lot.

Clippers are condenders
Who’d have thunk it? But they’re for real.
JR99 - January 31, 2012
Contenders of what? Playoffs yes, title no.
KWW - January 31, 2012
They’re as much as a championship contender as the Celtics are: everything needs to go perfectly. From matchups to injuries or lack thereof to a simple lucky tip in, everything needs to be perfect.
They have the talent and the best PG in the league (Rose is great, but he’s a clear 1b although that can change at any moment). They’re flawed, but they’re about as good as the Mavericks were last year.
muckduck - January 31, 2012
They’re not title contenders. Their bench has no depth to carry them deep into the western conference playoffs.

Did he not see that play coming?
Did Perkins think Griffin was gonna layup the ball? Perk switched late on the rotation, but he should of let Blake get the easy 2 instead of trying to block. And now with ESPN and Tweeter, Perk will never hear the end of this. lol
KWW - January 31, 2012
If i were Perk at that very moment. I’d feel like crying. lol
afable0102 - January 31, 2012
Man perk should have just stepped out of his poster
Little ticket - January 31, 2012
So what?
That was just a normal dunk. I’ll admit he can dunk but i can’t stand wannabe “gangsta” in the nba.
